Dear Colleagues
After a very successful conference in Cape Town in 2019 we welcome you
to Pretoria for the 2021 version. Thank you to all who supported us during
that event. We want to go BIGGER this time by including South African
Sports Medicine Association (SASMA), Life Through Movement
International Conference (LTMIC), Physical Activity, Sport and Health for
Development in Africa (PASHDA) and South African Society of Biomechanics
(SASB) in an International Festival of Sport and Exercise Medicine conference
(IFSEMC 2021). We envisage an integration between the associations during
this conference, which promises a fruitful and professional learning
experience to one and all.
We have developed a full and stimulating programme including state of the
art speakers, both international as well as national.
Although 2020 was a challenging year with COVID-19, we hope that 2021 will
be the start of a new chapter of exciting and developmental educational
opportunities! Enjoy the conference and remember to give us feedback
afterwards for us to develop and improve as we continue to work towards
future excellence.

Dear Colleagues and Friends, We would like to extend a hearty welcome to
the 5thBiennial Life Through Movement International Conference (LTMIC),
hosted by the Biokinetics Association of South Africa (BASA) from
the 21st to the 24th of October 2021 in Pretoria, South Africa.
Because of COVID-19, the LTMIC 2020 conference was postponed to 2021.
Hereby, the organising committee of the LTMIC is proud to announce that the
conference in 2021 will join the International Festival of Sport and Exercise
Medicine Conference (IFSEMC 2021). The conference will also be joined by the
South African Sports Medicine Association (SASMA), the South African Society
of Biomechanics (SASB), and the International Conference on Physical Activity
and Sports for Health and Development in Africa (IC-PASHDA).
The LTM international conference has shown incredible growth over the past
conferences and continues to envision growth through networking with the
associated health professions. This collaboration at the IFSEMC 2021 will
enlarge the foundation for delegates to receive knowledge in the field of sports
exercise and recreation, medicine, and rehabilitation in light of evidence-based
practice. Respected speakers and guests locally and globally will provide
delegates with their most recent knowledge and expertise in the health
profession. The conference will be complemented with multi-professional tracks
comprising of keynote speakers, workshops, panel discussions, and poster
presentations. The hosting city Pretoria will ensure an unforgettable visit with
her rich cultures and entertaining heart. An extraordinary and well-presented
conference venue will be the new home of the IFSEMC in Twenty21. This venue
offers a service of excellence with international transport, accommodation,
entertainment, and world-class facilities for conferencing. The IFSEMC
conference will surely have a touch of excitement at this conference that is not
to be missed.

The South African Society of Biomechanics (SASB) was formed in 2020 and we
are excited to welcome you to our first annual conference under the banner of
the International Festival of Sport and Exercise Medicine Conference
(IFSEMC 2021).
Together with our partners at the South African Sports Medicine Association
(SASMA), the Life Through Movement International Conference (LTMIC), and
the International Conference on Physical Activity and Sports for Health and
Development in Africa (IC-PASHDA), we are planning a dynamic event that will
integrate all areas of sport and exercise science and medicine. Internationally

The African Physical Activity Network (AFPAN), is pleased to have the honor of
inviting you to the 4th International Conference on Physical Activity and Sports
for Health and Development in Africa (PASHDA) to be hosted in Pretoria, South
Africa from 21st to 24th October 2021. The conference initially planned to be
hosted in 2020 jointly with the Biokinetics Association of South Africa’s Life
Through Movement Conference, had to be postponed due to Covid-19.
The postponement of the conference has resulted in AFPAN joining hands with
the South African Sports medicine Association, Biokinetics Association and the
Biomechanics association in order to be part of this International Festival of
Conferences. We cordially invite you to participate in what promises to be
